PRE CLASS
(To get familiar with the material and the activity and to prepare any materials or texts needed)

1.1 The T will familiarise herself with the task she has chosen :”Designing my own flag”
1.2 The T will prepare the material at home, which will consist of a small poster in the form of a flag that represents some aspects of her life.

IN CLASS
(Lead-in; to prepare for the activity)
|
2.1 The T will stick her flag on the bb below the title “MY FLAG”. Then, she will elicit the meaning of “flag”. If ss do not know it, she will draw Argentina's flag.
2.2 The T will ask ss if they know what each object on the T’s flag represent. If they do not understand them, the T will explain.

SET UP THE ACTIVITY
|
3.1 The T will explain the task.
T’s words: “Now, I want you to design your own flag that will represent you. You should do it in this sheet of paper I'll give you. Be free to express yourselves”.
If ss do not understand how to do the activity, the T will give examples (if you draw a guitar, it’s because you love music; if you draw a ball, it’s because you love football)
The T will ask ss to work individually.

RUN THE ACTIVITY
(Time for ss to do the activity individually while the T monitors)
|
3.2 The T will ask ss to start doing the activity individually.
While ss carry out the activity, the T monitors them unobtrusively.
3.3 Once all the ss have finished their flags, the T will ask each ss to show his/her work to the whole class and briefly comment on it so that everybody can know of each other’s life.

4.1 The T together with the whole class will choose which flag they consider to be more creative.
