PRE-LISTENING
(To predict the specific content)
|
1.1 The T will stick a picture of Michael Jackson on the board and will ask ss if they know who this singer is and if they know any of his songs. If they don’t mention the song to be dealt with the T will help them to discover the name by telling the ss that it is a song which deals with the environment. If the ss cannot guess the name, the T will write it on the bb. (“HEAL THE WORLD”)
1.2 The T will elicit the meaning of “heal”. If ss do not know it she will provide dictionaries for ss to look the word up. Once the definition has been provided, the T will ask ss to predict what the song will be about by taking into account the meaning of the title.
1.3 The T will ask ss to read the first part of the song and to complete the gaps with the words they think may be suitable.
